This just happened to me today. I had my iPod 60gb 5gen in one cup holder of my car, and the blackberry in the holder next to it.
all of the sudden my volume dropped. then i watched it jump up and down over and over again till I moved my blackberry to another part of the car.
I went back to work and typed "blackberry ipod volume" and found this post. good to know i'm not the only one.

Ha! Me too! I just correlated that it's the BlackBerry causing my video ipod's volume to jump. I was sure there was something wrong with the ipod.

Neato!

I'm not the only one then !!! Mine did exactly the same ting with the volume last week. I asked colleagues about this and they found your posting - if you solve the issue please let me know. I have a volume limit st on my ipod but was really surprised to see the volume graphic getting higher and lower with each spin of the bb wheel - does make me wonder what its doing to my brain !
